Young Ambassador Programme

The Young Ambassador Programme is the Youth Sport Trust’s nationally recognised programme for sports leaders and young leaders in the UK.

The Young Ambassador movement has grown over the years and many of those involved in the programme were Games Makers at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

There are four levels of Young Ambassador that young people can strive for. The diagram below outlines the four levels:

The Gosport School Sport Partnership offers KS3 and KS4 pupils in Bridgemary School and Brune Park School the opportunity to be rewarded for their commitment to sports leadership by registering them on the Young Ambassador programme.

Once registered each ambassador receives a Polo top and will attend local training to help them complete the many tasks they will perform within the Young Ambassador job description.

Those pupils that are identified and nominated as Gold Young Ambassadors will attend a regional training conference, where they will learn more about the Young Ambassador programme and receive specific training that they can then go take back into their school and disseminate to their Adistar Young Ambassadors.

This training will be taking place at Southampton Solent University on Thursday 21st January 2014.
